ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

(MILL LANE OTLEY (PART)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & SUSPENSION OF NO ENTRY RESTRICTION) NOTICE 2016

 

WHEREAS Leeds City Council is the traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District; and

WHEREAS sewer installation works are to take place.

TAKE NOTICE that in the interests of public safety it is considered necessary that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Mill Lane, Otley, Leeds between Manor Street and Bridge Street.

In order to facilitate the works will also be necessary to suspend the current ‘No Entry’ restriction at the junction of Mill Lane and Manor Street to allow the access and egress of vehicles. This suspension will only be effective when the above closure is in operation.

DIVERSIONARY ROUTE:-  A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via North Parade and Courthouse street.

PERIOD OF WORKS/RESTRICTIONS:-  The closure and suspension will commence on Monday 8 August 2016 and shall operate on week days only between 09.30 and 15.30 hours.

This Notice covers a 14 day period commencing 8 August 2016, however it will be necessary on its expiry to introduce an Order to allow completion of the works.

The Order will last for a maximum period of 4 weeks, however, it is envisaged that the works will be completed by 5 September 2016.
